"nourish, heal, enlighten..."
Organicarium
Botanica
Candelarium
Okay, so we may have
made up a word, but we
wanted to do something
unlike your typical health
food or market type place.

Every food we sell is
either organic or
wildcrafted.  All organic
products are certified and
verified by Oregon or
California standards
which are stricter than the
USDA standards.
Everything is certified by
independent agencies
and we only use
wholesale sources that
verify
their sources.

Wildcrafted means that
when plucked from the
wild, our foods are
harvested by hand and
observe ethical harvest
practices that guarantee
sustainability and
ecological balance.

We also strive to get fair
trade sources for our
imported foods and favor
local whenever possible.
As of yet, Michigan does
not have the organic
standards that we go by
but we are hoping and
helping to make that
happen.
'Botanica' is a real word.
In many cultures there is
a place to get healing
herbs and the raw
materials that not only
feed bellies but also feed
their belief systems.  We
think there is a need to
provide for underserved
markets and cultures that
have unique needs.  Part
of our mission is to
enlighten and we also
want to share these tools
and beliefs with
everyone.  We think
familiarity does not breed
contempt we think it
breeds family and
knowledge extinguishes
the kind of fear that
separates us.

Terra Stella believes that
all faiths and beliefs
should be honored and
we work hard to provide
the herbs, tools and
traditional objects that
are needed and not
commonly found in the
area.

Please ask us if there is
something special that
you may need to find or
have made.
Alright, you got us...  We
made up another word.
We had to.  How do you
describe a place to get
something that is more
than just a candle.

Almost every culture has
traditions, beliefs and
uses that make candles
more than just an old
fashioned light source.

Whether it is to set the
mood for a romantic
dinner, mark the season,
remember a historic
event or symbolize a
prayer; we use candles to
signify and symbolize,
wish and wonder and to
blaze against the
darkness.

Our candles are 100%
soy and/or beeswax and
we never use paraffin
which is a petroleum
product.  More important,
our candles are hand
poured or dipped and
contain no toxic dyes,
leaded wicks or scents
made from artificial
chemicals.
Terra Stella seeks to bring you the finest in foods and products that serve our mission to
'nourish, heal and enlighten'.  You can find us at the Fulton Street Farmer's Market in
Grand Rapids or you can order online.  Contact us at info@terrastella.net for more
information or to place an order.  Soon we will have a complete menu online and we will
have a presence on Etsy.  For now just email us and you can use the PayPal button to
send us money.  We hope you come see us at the market...

This is a sidebar.
Something that will
eventually have all
sorts of buttons, links
and info.

Hidden on the page
you will find other
things.  Perhaps
secret links or
pictures or recipes.
It is also where you'll
find our Facebook or
Etsy link and
(shudder) maybe
even Twitter.

For now there is a
link to our
novel.  A
work in progress that
may hold your
interest.  In the future
we hope to finish it
but for now we are
going to focus on this
page and maybe
even on some spices,
herbs, etc.

By late summer our
candlemaking will be
started in earnest
and we also hope to
have a line of our
own incenses once
again. We are looking
towards gift baskets
and that sort of thing
for the Fall and we
already have a list of
salts and herbs that
people are clamoring
for.

At the risk of getting
too busy, we do want
to know what you are
looking for and really
want your input.
Already we are
looking for Dill, Red
Clover and a few
other requests so just
email us and we'll see
what we can find.

Somewhere in all of
this we are going to
raise six kids, do our
art and maybe even
go on a date that
doesn't have a two
year old as a
chaperone.

We'll keep you
posted...
